- magic eraser"
Glad I choose this vape!
I've had the IQ for a couple of weeks now, so maybe some of my affection is from the honeymoon phase -- but even after now going through a full and thorough cleaning of the unit, I'm still in love. I was so skeptical, having only ever used desktop vapes until now, since these portables look just too small to really work -- but the IQ works great! The first thing you'll probably do is adjust the LED setting from bright to dim -- those are the two modes, and bright is just way too bright in my opinion. I haven't bothered with any custom settings (apart from the LED brightness) and I honestly can't be bothered downloading an app. For me, the pre-programmed temperatures are perfect, and my sweet spot is right about 370 F. The unit heads up fast, but note there's an erratic and subtle ticking sound when the unit's on, but this is apparently normal. It definitely gets warm to the touch, but I haven't found that problematic. I also haven't found any issues with the battery running down fast. I go 4-5 sessions, easy, between charges. (I did, though, buy a spare battery as a just-in-case.) You'll want to grind fairly fine and fluffy, and only tamp down very gently. While the pearl is adjustable, when that thing comes off it really wants to drop and roll, so be warned and probably only disassemble over a tray or something. I watched a cleaning video on youtube where the presenter used a piece of "magic eraser" soaked in 91% ISO, but since I have no idea what's contained in a magic eraser, I used 100% cotton rounds (from Target in the makeup section), barely dipped and squeezed of their ISO, and then with a bamboo skewer, dapped that around inside the oven. The oven is once again pristine, and honestly I felt the clean up wasn't bad at all. I'm impressed -- it works great, it's super discreet, it cleans up without too much trouble, and I can go days with my solo usage of it between charges. Love this thing!
